The King of the Underground Railroad In-Person
Spring Hill Historic Commission Speaker Series Presents: The King of the Underground Railroad.
Come and get to know Jermain Wesley Loguen, who was born into slavery in Maury County, TN. Loguen escaped in his 20s, fled to the north, and is said to have helped some 15,000 runaways to freedom. His story will be told by Tom Price, Director of the Maury County Archives. Tom will paint a picture of this fascinating man and share more about his extraordinary life.
