STEM Lab: Batteries

STEM Lab: Batteries In-Person

Make your own battery!

Some of the good folks from the new Ultium Cell Plant here in Spring Hill will joint us to give you a visual tour of the plant so you can see how their batteries are made. Their batteries power electric vehicles assembled in our local GM plant! They'll also guide you through how to make your own battery using household material.

The STEM Lab is a monthly session that focuses on playful problem solving games and creative activities for ages 6-12.We will have a variety of projects for each month’s related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) theme in an open style classroom. Experimentation, collaboration, and play are encouraged. Parents can stay to help learn and explore or relax elsewhere in the library. .
