A Story About You ... How to Write a Memoir (Virtual Teen Writing Class)

A Story About You ... How to Write a Memoir (Virtual Teen Writing Class) Online

Thursdays, Sept 3, 10, 17, 24

4:00 - 5:00 pm

We all have a good story to share! This four-week (virtual) writing workshop will focus on how to write a memoir. A memoir tells a personal, true story about a significant experience that impacted you, the writer, in some way. Creative writing exercises in class will teach specific elements to consider when composing a memoir with an emphasis on structural guidelines, voice, and creating vivid descriptions. The class will be interactive, encouraging, challenging, and fun.

Sign up and log in instructions will be emailed to you before the class begins.

Carole Webb Slater is an author, community speaker, and educator who teaches memoir classes on a regular basis at various library locations as well as Vanderbilt Osher Learning Institute.
